Laura Ray is a Royston, GA, native with over 15 years of performance experience and has toured internationally. In 2010, Laura earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education (guitar emphasis) from Emmanuel College. She performed regionally with her family bluegrass band, Exception To The Rule, and taught guitar and banjo lessons in the area during and after college. From 2012 to 2017, she lived in Nashville, TN, where she had the opportunity to perform guitar and banjo with a variety of artists, including award-winning bluegrass artist, Valerie Smith. Now back in Georgia, Laura is excited to be an instructor at Stan's Music World and to share her love of music!

Travis Payne is a retired Band Director and professional musician with over 40 years’ experience. Travis teaches Brass and Woodwind students.
Instruction in the following areas is offered:
• Basic instruction for beginning, intermediate and advanced students on most instruments.
• Help for the more advanced student with the
All-State audition, Governors Honors audition, and preparing college audition material.
• For the Jazz student, Lessons on different styles
In Jazz, Blues, and Pop music.
• Developing improvisational skills for different styles.
• Basic theory may also be included as the student wishes.
